The Moroccan desert is a stunning and otherworldly landscape that offers a unique and unforgettable experience for travelers. Located just a few hours away from the coastal city of Agadir, the desert is easily accessible and perfect for a day trip. In this post, we’ll take a closer look at a full-day
desert trip from Agadir that will take you on an adventure through the dunes and provide a taste of traditional Berber culture.
The tour starts early in the morning, with a pickup from your hotel in Agadir at 8:20 am. From there, you’ll head out into the desert, watching as the landscape changes from lush greenery to red
sand dunes. The first stop on the tour is the Youssef ben Tachfine Dam, a large water reserve in the heart of the desert. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the area and take in stunning views.
Afterward, the tour will continue deeper into the desert to explore the famous dunes of Rsmouka. These dunes are a must-see for any visitor to Morocco and offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. To recharge your energy, you’ll visit a local Berber house for a traditional lunch of tajine and couscous, accompanied by fresh fruit and mint tea.
Agadir Desert And Tiznit City
With your energy replenished, the tour will head towards
Tiznit, known as the capital of silver. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to stroll through the old town, witness the historic city walls, and discover the silver Berber jewelry – the principal handicraft of the city. At the end of the tour, you’ll visit the fisherman’s caves of Tiznit before heading back to Agadir, crossing the Massa Valley on the way.
Throughout the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to see and experience a variety of other activities. For example, you can visit the river of souss to see the flamingo birds, visit the pottery of Moroccan ceramics, and take a rally Dakar off-road to visit the fishing caves and village. And of course, there’s free time to explore and enjoy the dunes of the Sahara.
The tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off in Agadir, air-conditioned transportation, and a local tour guide who speaks English, French, and German. Lunch meals with the locals, couscous, and tajine, as well as Moroccan tea and seasonal fruits, are also included in the price. The price does not include drinks or the optional
camel ride, which costs 5€ per person.
One of the best things about this tour is that it offers a full refund if canceled up to 24 hours in advance, giving you peace of mind when booking. The price for adults is €40.00, while for children aged 1-12 costs €20.00.
Overall, the

We have read a lot about these excursions and we were a bit worried. About twenty minutes before we went down from the hotel finding our guide already waiting for us and then we immediately started to take the other components (3) and we immediately started. we saw many places, we did a little “Rally” in the desert and we stopped. the guide (Hicham) was more than perfect. a very kind, friendly and hearted man. he took lots of photos for us, suggested poses and answered any of our questions and curiosities. we have visited amazing places in the real Morocco. for lunch we stopped in a typical Riad and Restaurant eating a very good Tajine and Cous Cous, refreshing ourselves a bit and then leaving for the mini desert with camels and with a man who showed real scorpions however neutralized. an unforgettable experience thanks especially to Hicham !! worth all the money spent down to the last penny!

Abdallah, our guide was the best of all. He explained everything with a lot of information and answered any questions we had. Very friendly and funny. The hours passed very quickly with him. It’s a 12-hour tour that seems like 4. As a tour guide and driver, I give Abdallah a 10.

Experience absolutely to do. We expected, actually, something different like going with the 4×4 on the dunes or something like that, but we went through it all with a car with a driver to guide us. We have made several interesting stages. Surely the random company we found made it all a lot more fun. I highly recommend it!

our guide, is a nice, funny guy! He accompanied us throughout the journey, telling us curiosities about the various countries and their ways of living. We ate in a hospitable house with other people, the local dishes are exquisite. It’s a great adventure, great for meeting new people, a new culture and making friends. Highly recommended
