The day trip to Tafraoute and Tiznit provided a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Agadir. Tafraoute’s Ameln Valley was a serene spot for a leisurely hike, surrounded by almond groves and rocky hills. It’s a place to unwind and connect with nature.
Tiznit’s medina was a shopping paradise. We found unique Berber jewelry and handicrafts, and the prices were reasonable. The journey through the mountains was a bit longer than expected, so be prepared for some winding roads. Our guide was friendly and informative, making the trip enjoyable.

I can’t recommend the Tafraoute and Tiznit day trip from Agadir enough! The journey itself was a feast for the eyes, with jaw-dropping views of the Anti-Atlas Mountains and scenic drives through picturesque landscapes. Tafraoute’s pink granite rocks and the blue-painted rocks were a photographer’s dream come true.
Tafraoute town was a delightful surprise. Its Berber architecture and bustling local markets offered a glimpse into the region’s rich culture. We enjoyed chatting with the friendly locals and savoring traditional Moroccan dishes at a local eatery.
